Job Title: National Sales Manager
Position Function:
To plan and carry out direct marketing and sales activities so as to maintain existing relationships and sales, develop new relationship and sales opportunities for the companies of Marsh Bellofram Group of Companies and the appropriate Distribution network. The target of this effort is to the industries served by the Marsh Bellofram Group of Companies and to obtain direct sales, direct and assist Regional Sales Managers and help develop sales for the appropriate Distribution network in the domestic US.
Responsibilities: To include but not limited to the following
- Plan and prioritize personal development activities and customer/prospect contact toward achieving agreed business aims including costs and sales – especially managing personal time and productivity.
- Maintain and develop a computerized customer and prospect database with Regional Manager input.
- Respond to and follow-up sales inquiries by post, telephone and personal visit through Regional Managers.
- Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills.
- Plan and carry out direct sales efforts to agreed budgets and product mix with monthly progress reports to the VP Sales & Marketing.
- Maintain and develop existing and new customer relationships through planned individual account support, liaison with appropriate Distribution with individual and regional account support.
- Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.
- Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys.
- Provide support, research and backup information for Regional Managers and Distribution to follow-up on new opportunities, open doors and new, relevant information to obtain sales goals.
- Ability to get on with others and be a team-player.
Minimum Requirements:
- Over 5 years in General industry selling with extensive knowledge and experience in sales and account management.
- Knowledge and experience in the appropriate product line(s) within the Marsh Bellofram Group of Companies portfolio. Either an Electronic/Electrical background and experience or Pneumatics background and experience required.
- Ability to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance.
- Bachelor's in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
