Key Job Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
· Performing variance analysis to identify trends, deviations from budget, and areas needing attention
· Assisting with forecasting and budgeting
General Ledger and Accounting Operations:
· Maintaining the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial data
· Preparing journal entries for various transactions, including revenue recognition, accruals, prepaids, and adjustments
· Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances, ensuring consistency and accuracy across the accounting system
· Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all necessary accounting tasks
Fixed Asset Management:
· Managing and maintaining the fixed asset register, including the capitalization, tracking, and disposal of assets
· Performing monthly depreciation calculations and preparing related account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance
· Assisting with forecasting and budgeting processes
Accounts Payable:
· Reconciling accounts balances, identifying and resolving discrepancies
· Maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions related to accounts payable
· Mentoring junior accounting staff and provide guidance on best practices
Tax Compliance:
· Reconciling and reviewing sales and use tax returns
· Maintaining accurate records of all tax-related transactions and ensuring compliance
Internal Controls and Audits:
· Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data and compliance with regulations
· Preparing for and assisting with external audits, ensuring the company's financial records are well-organized and readily available for review
· Identifying and resolving any discrepancies or non-compliance issues found during internal or external audits
Pay: $80,000.00 per year
