We’re not a typical clinic.
Our patients aren't recovering from routine injuries. We exist for patients with complex neurological injuries. They're dealing with the aftermath of traumatic brain injuries, persistent concussion symptoms, and neurological conditions that haven't responded to conventional care. Many of them have been through multiple providers without getting better. When they get to us, the work we do in each session genuinely matters.
At Cerebral Health, we perform a comprehensive suite of neurological diagnostic tests to assess brain and nervous system function — and we do it at a level of precision that most clinics don't come close to. The clinical team depends on that data to make good decisions for patients dealing with TBIs, concussions, vestibular disorders, and complex neurological conditions.
As a Travel Diagnostic Technician, you play a foundational role in that process. You're not just running tests — you're setting the tone for a patient's entire experience, often on their very first visit. And you're doing it across multiple locations, bringing that same standard of care to San Jose, Walnut Creek, Modesto, and Vallejo.
That's the environment you'd be stepping into.
What this role really is — and who it's for
This is genuinely variable, as-needed work, and we'd rather be upfront about that now than surprise you later. You work only on days when Vestibulo-Autonomic Testing (VAT) is scheduled. Some weeks that means traveling and testing across several days; other weeks it may mean little or no work at all. There's no minimum hour guarantee, and your hours — and your income — will fluctuate from week to week and month to month. When VAT isn't on the calendar, there's no expectation to come in.
That's why the person who thrives here is someone who stays flexible and adaptable. We set the testing schedule based on patient demand, and those days can shift from month to month — so we're looking for someone who keeps their availability open enough to say yes when VAT is booked and can roll with a calendar that isn't fixed. The right fit wants meaningful, supplemental clinical work that flexes around the rest of their life — not a fixed weekly paycheck.
When VAT is booked, here's what the work looks like: you'll perform Vestibulo-Autonomic Testing with clinical consistency, interacting directly with patients to explain procedures, ensure their comfort, and move them through the process with care and confidence. You'll transport and maintain diagnostic equipment between locations, manage documentation and file uploads in Google Workspace, and collaborate with the clinical team to make sure results are accurate, timely, and clearly communicated. We'll train you on our specific protocols and technology — what you bring is strong attention to detail, genuine care for the patient experience, the composure that makes people feel like they're in good hands, and the reliability to deliver that across every location you serve.
The flip side of flexibility is reliability, and it matters just as much. Because the work is intermittent, the days you are scheduled carry real weight. When VAT is booked, our patients and clinical team are counting on you to show up.
