Join our growing team! We are a Christian hybrid homeschool program looking for an assistant teacher for our Kindergarten room. In this dynamic role, you will play a vital part in supporting classroom activities, fostering a nurturing environment, and helping young learners master beginning phonic and math skills in a Christian environment. Duties
- Assist lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning activities
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping maintain a structured learning environment
- Engage with children through play, storytelling, and hands-on activities to promote curiosity and learning
- Help prepare educational materials and classroom setups to facilitate effective lesson delivery
- Provide individualized attention to students
- Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor recess, mealtime, and transitions to ensure safety at all times
- Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and communicate observations regarding developmental milestones
Experience
- Prior experience working with young children in classroom settings, daycare centers, or preschool environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience with small group instruction, lesson planning, and literacy education techniques
- Familiarity with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
