JOB TITLE: KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER Status: Salary, Exempt
REPORTS TO: OEM Sales Director
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Global responsibility for the growth and commercial management of the assigned account(s).
JOB DUTIES:
· Manage current business with Ford & GM in order to maximize profitability and lead company efforts to maintain a maximum level of customer satisfaction by resolving customer issues in a timely, mutually satisfactory manner.
· Maintain a network of customer contacts for basic upfront market, competitor and customer information to better identify and quantify new business opportunities.
· Participate in Business Plan Development with Elettra and lead in the development and implementation of global customer specific strategy for the assigned account(s).
· Coordinate with global Account Managers for the assigned account(s), in other areas, on issues with global impact.
· Lead new business development activity at assigned account(s) in conjunction with R&D Commercial Manager. This includes proposing pricing strategy, providing competitive information, managing quotation development and any technical reviews or facility visits.
· Utilize program management and organizational skills to ensure that all customer requests are met in a timely and thorough manner.
· Develop accurate short and long-term sales forecasts.
· Adhere to ISO 14001 & TS 16949 processes.
· Attend required management and customer meetings to discuss plans, results, problems, and special activities.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Adhere to the Environmental, Health & Safety policies to conserve energy and promote recycling.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING:
· GM Supply Power with knowledge of 1804 and 1810 cost breakdowns for quoting
· Ford Covisint / Ariba knowledge for submitting quotations and other activities
· Concentrated mental and visual attention required to perform complex work to very close limits of high accuracy and quality for sustained periods of time.
· Requires the use of judgment to plan, analyze, perform and make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations and processes within the limitation of recognized or standard methods and procedures.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, manual, or schedule form.
· Flexible to travel internationally for periods of time with minimal notice.
· Common intelligence, courtesy, and a cooperative spirit needed to respond to internal and external department requests, resolve conflict, interact, negotiate and clearly present information.
· Bachelor of Science in a business concentration and technical experience preferred.
· Ten or more years of OEM account and program management experience with the assigned account(s) and a track record of obtaining new business.
· Preferred specific training: Microsoft programs and Internet, AQP (APQP) timing plans
