The Role
Zinkerz is seeking a Student Services and Administrative Assistant to join our Boston-based team. This position combines student support, administrative coordination, and office assistance.
The successful candidate will help organize and manage courses, support students and families, track student progress, and assist with the preparation and delivery of classes, camps, and in-person lessons. This individual will also provide general administrative support to the team, including copying, filing, organizing materials, and coordinating day-to-day office needs.
The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, dependable, and passionate about education. They should be comfortable communicating with students, parents, instructors, and staff through multiple channels and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Because many of our students are available after school and on weekends, this role requires a flexible schedule, including weekend availability.
Primary Responsibilities
Student Services and Support
- Assist with student scheduling, enrollment, orientations, and onboarding.
- Help students establish study plans and learning goals.
- Track student attendance, academic progress, assignments, and overall engagement.
- Update and modify student learning plans as needed.
- Maintain regular communication with students and families.
- Communicate with parents and students through telephone, WhatsApp, SMS, email, and video calls.
- Establish positive relationships with prospective and current students and their families.
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for routine student and family questions.
- Provide basic information related to academic planning, college admissions, career planning, financial aid, and other student needs.
- Escalate complex academic, technical, or administrative issues to the appropriate team member.
- Support the coordination of classes, tutoring sessions, camps, orientations, and other educational programs.
Administrative and Office Support
- Provide general administrative assistance to the education and operations teams.
- Copy, scan, print, file, organize, and distribute documents and instructional materials.
- Prepare materials for classes, camps, in-person lessons, orientations, and meetings.
- Organize classroom, office, and program supplies.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical records.
- Assist with data entry, spreadsheets, calendars, and internal tracking systems.
- Help organize schedules and coordinate logistics for instructors, students, and programs.
- Support the preparation and setup of in-person lessons, events, and camps.
- Assist with office organization and other administrative projects as needed.
- Perform additional assistant duties to support the smooth operation of the team.
Schedule Requirements
This position requires a regular schedule of five days per week, including:
- Saturday
- Sunday
- Three weekdays
Weekend work may be completed remotely. Weekday hours include work in the Boston office, and the schedule may occasionally require later hours to accommodate students who are available after school.

- Experience with WhatsApp, SMS communication, video conferencing, and student information systems.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
