A highly respected national law firm is seeking a
Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its growing Chicago office. This position supports a busy commercial real estate practice handling sophisticated transactions and working directly with experienced attorneys on high-value matters.
This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal who enjoys ownership of their work, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to play a key role in complex commercial real estate transactions. The team is supportive, approachable, and looking for someone who can hit the ground running while managing files independently.
What You'll Do-
Review purchase and sale agreements and track critical transaction deadlines.

Review title commitments, title policies, and surveys.

Draft title summaries, title objection letters, and transaction-related documents.

Prepare amendments, consents, assignments, and closing documentation.

Coordinate directly with clients, title companies, lenders, and other transaction parties.

Assemble signature packets, closing binders, and closing deliverables.

Conduct entity formation and corporate maintenance activities.

Obtain EINs, entity certificates, and related corporate documents.

Support commercial acquisitions, dispositions, financing transactions, and general real estate matters.

Utilize legal technology and AI-driven tools to improve efficiency and document production.
What We're Looking For-
3+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience (5+ years preferred).

Strong title and survey review experience.

Experience supporting commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing.

Knowledge of Illinois real estate practices, deeds, titles, and related documentation preferred.

Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of files.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Law firm experience preferred.

Experience with entity formations, corporate governance, or related transactional work is a plus.

Familiarity with document management systems such as iManage is a plus.

Comfortable utilizing technology and AI tools to support efficiency and productivity.
