Lunch Aide (Part-Time)
Bluestone Children’s Center – Livonia, MI
Monday–Friday | 10:30am–1:30pm
Bluestone Children’s Center is seeking dependable and patient Lunch Aides to support our therapy classrooms during the midday hours. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in working with children, special education, or behavioral health.
Training is provided prior to starting, and licensed clinicians are on-site at all times for support.
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise and engage small groups of 3–4 children with autism
- Assist therapists during lunch and structured group activities
- Help prepare and organize classroom materials and ensure the room is safe
- Maintain close supervision and proximity to assigned children at all times
- Support behavior strategies under clinician guidance
- Help clean and reset spaces after group sessions
All children served have autism and may display behaviors such as aggression, elopement, or self-injury. The environment can be active and occasionally loud. Candidates must be patient, attentive, and comfortable in a hands-on setting.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children (childcare, classroom, camp, etc.)
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a special needs setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stay calm and engaged in a busy environment
Experience in special education or ABA is a plus, but not required.
