Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations
- Assist with merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are presented attractively
- Conduct product demos when applicable to promote new or featured items and encourage upselling opportunities
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including regular stocking and inventory checks to ensure product availability
- Follow phone etiquette protocols when handling customer inquiries or taking orders over the phone
- Supervise and support team members during shifts, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent customer experiences
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience, preferably in grocery or convenience store environments
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership roles within retail settings
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly, professional interaction both in person and over the phone
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is a plus
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, retail sales transactions, upselling techniques, and customer service best practices
