SUMMARY:
As the overseer and head of food production in the Cafe at Friske's, you are responsible for managing all aspects of daily Cafe operations and all personnel within this department. You’re expected to train, coach and develop team members towards excellence and hold your team accountable to fulfill Friske’s core values, mission and all aspects of our guiding principles, resulting in a consistently remarkable experience for everyone!

- Exemplify and encourage going the extra mile with guest interactions and during execution of all daily tasks
- Have quarterly meetings with each team member along with personnel management or an operating owner to evaluate performance (or as needed)
- Praise good performance! Correct behaviors and sub-par performance promptly and thoroughly.
- Help team members learn how to prioritize tasks, especially in production, based on relevance to the customer experience
LEAD BY EXAMPLE:
- Ensure all team members abide by proper health codes and food handling and storage standards
- Regularly check all storage areas, coolers, freezers and warehouse to ensure orderliness and cleanliness, including FIFO/rotation of stock.
- Train & assist team members to keep all shelves clean, stocked and organized, especially shelves in view of customers.
- Keep all work surfaces and equipment free from clutter and disarray - cleaning & sanitizing regularly throughout shift and thoroughly at end of day, ensuring an exceptionally neat, clean environment.
- Ensure thorough completion of daily, weekly and monthly cleaning checklists
- Uphold quality and consistency standards by ensuring team members prepare food following Friske’s written recipes and procedures
- Execute the making of recipes and orders with precision and attention to detail, ensuring that all food items meet Friske standards of taste and presentation.
- Jump in with a positive attitude where necessary (no one is above any task!)
3*. ORDERING + OPERATIONS*
- Assist in foreseeing ordering needs by writing things down/notifying PIC of ordering before items run out.
- Oversee and assist with proper putting away of vendor deliveries in coolers, freezers and warehouse
- Monitor waste (of time or product) and come up with creative ways to rectify.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
