Overview
Pilar Floral is a boutique event floral design studio serving the mid-to-luxury market across Southern California and the Central Coast. This role is best suited to someone who takes pride in doing detailed, physical work well and consistently. This role starts in-studio only - no event-day work to begin.
Pay: $20/hour
Hours: 15-20 hrs/week during event weeks, schedule varies with event calendar
Location: In-studio, Oceanside, CA
What you'll do:
- Prep and clean flower buckets
- Process incoming flowers
- Reset and organize the studio between events
- Pull and prep hard goods (vases, mechanics, containers)
- Clean candles and event rental items
- Assist with post-event strike/breakdown
This role starts as in-studio only and event day strike. Event-day support is not part of the initial scope, though it may be added later based on fit and performance.
What we're looking for:
- High level of attention to detail - precision in prep and processing directly affects the final product
- Highly organized, with the ability to retain instructions and apply them consistently
- Experience in a fast-paced service industry where multitasking under pressure was part of the job - event production, restaurants, retail, events, or similar
- Physically able to handle standing, lifting, and repetitive hands-on work for extended periods
- Reliable and punctual
- Available to work weekends during event season
- Must live within 20-25 miles of Oceanside/Vista, CA
- Floral industry experience is not required, but is preferred
