JOB SUMMARY:
To assist in the every day functions of the Valve Repair Department while learning every aspect needed to become a Repair Technician.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Dis-Assembly of Valves.
- Performs sandblasting.
- Cleans Valves.
- Inspects Valves
- Properly documents all information from the valve nameplates on the relief valve to ticket.
- Paint valves.
- Tag stamping and properly attaching tag.
- Sealing & Wiring - finishing of relief valve.
- Performs shop maintenance.
- Travels with mobile unit.
- Climbs up to 100ft.
- Lifts up to 50 lbs.
- Wears respirator when required.
- Inspects Personal Protection Equipment.
- Satisfactory progress in the Mercer Valve Training Program.
- Complete all necessary Safety Training.
- Start SSE Program.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Mechanical Aptitude is a must.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to climb up to 100ft and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to Travel.
- Must have valid Drivers License with clean driving record.
- Ability to pass criminal background check.
- Must be physically able to perform essential job functions, may need to wear a respirator when
required.
- Ability to accurately complete all documentation required.
- Good Verbal Communication and Follows Instructions.
