Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Hotel General Manager to lead our team and oversee all aspects of hotel operations. This role requires a passionate leader with extensive hospitality management experience who can drive guest satisfaction, optimize revenue, and ensure smooth daily operations. As the Hotel General Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining hotel standards, and ensuring financial performance aligns with company goals. Your leadership will inspire your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining operational excellence.
Duties
- Oversee daily hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and food & beverage services
- Lead and supervise hospitality teams to ensure high standards of guest service and satisfaction
- Manage hospitality operations budgets, including forecasting, expense control, and revenue management strategies
- Implement hotel management systems such as Property Management Systems (PMS) and hospitality reservation platforms to streamline operations
- Develop and enforce hotel guest service standards to enhance guest relations and loyalty
- Oversee human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development
- Monitor financial operations through budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting to maximize profitability
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, hotel policies, and industry standards such as night audit procedures
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, leadership development, and employee engagement
- Maintain property appearance and functionality through regular inspections and coordination with maintenance teams
Skills
- Proven experience in overseeing daily hotel operations with supervisory responsibilities in a hospitality setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively
- Excellent managerial communication skills to motivate staff and coordinate across departments
- Proficiency in hospitality management systems (PMS), property management software, and reservation platforms
- Financial management expertise including budgeting, revenue optimization, and cost control
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and problem resolution
- Experience in revenue management strategies to maximize occupancy and profitability
- Knowledge of human resources practices within hospitality environments
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette
- Resort or extended stay hotel experience is preferred for understanding unique guest needs
