Responsibilities
- Provide professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and styling tailored to each client’s preferences
- Utilize advanced techniques such as straight razor shaves, hair coloring, hair extensions, and hair threading to meet diverse client needs
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly cleaning tools and workstations in accordance with health regulations
- Manage client consultations to understand their desired look and offer expert recommendations on hair care and styling options
- Operate salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records, and retail sales tracking
- Upsell retail products such as hair care items, grooming tools, and styling products to enhance client satisfaction and store revenue
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and ensuring seamless store operations
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, coloring, and customer service best practices
Experience
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license required; experience working in the beauty industry is highly preferred
- Proficiency with salon software systems like MINDBODY or similar platforms
- Skilled in traditional barbering techniques including straight razor shaves and beard grooming
- Knowledge of hair coloring techniques, color theory, and hair extensions application
- Familiarity with sanitation protocols and store management practices to ensure a safe environment
- Strong communication skills for effective client consultation and team collaboration
- Experience in retail sales, upselling strategies, and retail math to maximize revenue opportunities
- Ability to perform additional services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, and hair threading is a plus
