Job Overview
Candlewood Suites Turlock is seeking an experienced and motivated Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping team and ensure exceptional cleanliness standards throughout the hotel. This position is responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations, training and coaching team members, maintaining brand standards, managing inventories, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can motivate a team, maintain accountability, and create a positive work environment while delivering outstanding results.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department.
- Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate housekeeping team members.
- Conduct room inspections to ensure cleanliness and compliance with brand standards.
- Create and manage staff schedules based on occupancy and business demands.
- Monitor productivity and ensure rooms are cleaned efficiently and thoroughly.
- Maintain inventory levels for linens, guest supplies, and cleaning products.
- Order housekeeping supplies and control departmental expenses.
- Address guest concerns and service recovery issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and company policies.
- Work closely with the Front Desk and Maintenance departments to ensure guest rooms are ready and maintained properly.
- Assist with cleaning rooms and public areas when operational needs require.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel housekeeping supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Ability to train, coach, and hold team members accountable.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Basic computer skills and experience with scheduling and inventory management.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
