Preschool & Elementary Age Educational Assistant/Support Staff - Team Player, Flexible, Energetic, Creative, Eager to gain experience in education
CLASS Academy is seeking a highly energetic, passionate, creative, and eager to learn Educational Assistant ready to join our team of excellent educators. We're looking for a flexible team player with a "go-getter" mentality. The ideal candidate will have experience interacting with elementary school age children ranging from 3yo - 13yo. Ideally, this position could also support as a substitute teacher if needed.
CLASS Academy is a Preschool through 8th grade, year round, private school in Northwest Portland. We achieve excellence in education through multi-sensory learning, hands-on curriculum, and small student cohort sizes. Our students' strengths are in math, reading, writing, science, and public speaking.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience working in early childhood education with students between the ages of 3 years old – 13 years old
Ability to work 40hrs per week year round
Maintains current First Aid/CPR Certification or able to become certified within 30 days of employment.
Maintains current Oregon Food Handler’s Certification or able to become certified within 30 days of employment.
Maintains certification for Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse or able to become certified within 30 days of employment.
Currently enrolled in Oregon’s Central Background Registry or able to enroll within 30 days of employment
