JOB SUMMARY:
Ethos Engineering is a full-service consulting engineering firm seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for commercial and institutional projects, including power distribution, lighting, and emergency systems. The position is in Harlingen, TX. We specialize in providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and commissioning engineering services for all types of commercial building projects. Ethos utilizes BIM and CAD software (Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD) in developing coordinated construction documents. Candidate must meet the requirements indicated under minimum requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design electrical systems including power, lighting, and grounding
- Perform load calculations and electrical studies
- Coordinate with mechanical and plumbing team
- Review submittals and respond to RFIs
- Participate in site visits and construction support
- Attend electrical meetings internal and external
- Prepare construction documents
- Stamp and seal drawings as required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Active PE license in Texas (or ability to obtain immediately)
- 5-10+ years of experience in building systems
- Strong knowledge of NEC and IECC
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with generators and emergency power systems
- Experience with data centers or critical facilities
- Public sector project experience
ADDITIONAL NOTE: This role requires a candidate who can take ownership of design and operate with minimal supervision.
