Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Apparel Designer to join a dynamic design team supporting the creation of innovative and consumer-relevant apparel products. This role will focus on developing compelling apparel design concepts while bringing a strong understanding of color, product aesthetics, and current market trends.
The ideal candidate is a creative designer with experience working across apparel design and color development. You should be comfortable building color palettes, creating visual stories and mood boards, and translating creative ideas into thoughtful product direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop innovative apparel design concepts and product stories.
- Support the development and application of color across apparel collections.
- Build color palettes, mood boards, and visual presentations to communicate design direction.
- Develop strong color stories that connect with product, consumer, and market trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners throughout the apparel design and development process.
- Research fashion, consumer, and marketplace trends to identify new opportunities.
- Present design concepts, color direction, and creative ideas to internal stakeholders.
- Work in a fast-paced and evolving environment while managing multiple design priorities.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Apparel Design and/or Color Design for Apparel.
- Strong hands-on experience designing apparel products and developing color direction.
- Experience with color palette creation, color strategy, color application, and color storytelling.
- Strong understanding of apparel design, fashion, consumer preferences, and market trends.
- Ability to create compelling mood boards, visual stories, and design presentations.
- Strong creative and storytelling skills with the ability to clearly communicate design concepts.
- Comfortable presenting ideas and design direction to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience working with a variety of apparel categories and product types.
- Strong ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Fashion Design, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in outdoor, streetwear, lifestyle, performance, or fashion apparel.
- Strong understanding of both fashion-driven and functional product design.
- Experience working within large, complex organizations or fast-moving product environments.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on creative execution.
