Duties
- Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylic and nail extensions with precision and artistry
- Apply advanced techniques such as nail art, color blending, and design to create customized looks for each client
- Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation and disinfection procedures for tools and workstations
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences, recommend suitable treatments, and ensure a relaxing experience
- Educate clients on proper nail care routines, product usage, and aftercare tips to promote healthy nails
- Upsell retail products like nail polishes, treatments, or skincare items to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Stay current with industry trends such as eyelash extensions, dermabrasion, body waxing, hair styling, hair extensions, laser treatments, hair threading, barbering techniques, and esthetic services to broaden service offerings
Requirements
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a manicurist or nail technician with a strong portfolio of work
- Knowledge of color theory, nail care products, and application techniques including gel manicures and acrylic nails
- Familiarity with salon safety protocols including sanitation standards and disinfection procedures
- Excellent communication skills to engage clients effectively and provide exceptional customer service
- Ability to perform detailed work with steady hands while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Certification or licensing in cosmetology or related fields as required by local regulations
- Basic retail math skills for product upselling and inventory management is a plus
- Experience with additional beauty treatments such as eyelash extensions or body waxing is desirable but not mandatory
