Job Summary
The Infusion Regional Nurse Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for nursing services across multiple infusion care settings—including both outpatient infusion suites and home-based infusion services—throughout the Charleston SC region. This role is responsible for ensuring excellence in clinical care, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and staff performance. The Nurse Manager will oversee day-to-day clinical operations, lead a multidisciplinary team, and drive quality improvement initiatives to support optimal patient outcomes and service growth across the region.
Responsibilities of the Regional Nurse Manager include the following:
- Sets and tracks departmental goals and objectives
- Develops and implements nursing policies and procedures with assistant of Director of Nursing.
- Supervises, and ensures training, and evaluations of nursing staff within the region.
- Assists with the hiring and onboarding of new nurses within the region.
- Monitors and ensures the nursing schedule in conjunction with scheduling coordinator.
- Provides direct patient care when necessary.
- Investigates and attempts to resolve patient and staff complaints with assistant of Director of Nursing as needed.
- Collaborates and coordinates regarding patient care with pharmacies, referral sources, and Account Executives.
- Provides administrative guidance and support during business hours and after hours as needed.
- Designs and manage continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives.
- Ensures that all guidelines, regulations, and standards are followed.
- Maintains working knowledge of all software, including medical databases, research, diagnosis, billing, scheduling, and telemedicine software as needed.
- Assures that progress reports are made to the physician for patients receiving nursing services, when the patient’s condition changes, or there are deviations from the plan of care.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Must have an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
- Must have an active registered nurse (RN) license in South Carolina.
- At least 3 years of management experience and at least 5 years of nursing experience are required.
- Current CPR card, health certificate, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation automobile insurance.
- Effective interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to recognize and direct information to the appropriate health care provider.
- Computer skills that include word processing, and efficient use of the internet and email.
