Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to be the welcoming face of our establishment! As a Host, you will create a positive first impression for guests by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience. Your enthusiasm, communication skills, and hospitality expertise will set the tone for an enjoyable visit. This role is vital in maintaining a lively, organized, and guest-focused environment where everyone feels valued and cared for.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm as they arrive, making them feel immediately welcome
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times and reservations
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of service and timely seating
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area to enhance guest comfort and safety
- Handle guest concerns or special requests promptly, escalating issues when necessary to ensure resolution
- Assist with guest relations by engaging in friendly conversation and providing information about the menu or restaurant offerings
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Host or in a customer service role within food service or hospitality environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests and team members
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including reservation management and guest services best practices
- Exceptional phone etiquette and guest relations skills to foster a welcoming atmosphere
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality settings is a plus but not mandatory
