Duties
- Review and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents to accurately estimate material requirements and takeoffs.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate pricing, scope of work, and terms that optimize project outcomes.
- Support cost management efforts by monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, and implementing cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to the review of contracts, change orders, and technical documents to ensure clarity and accuracy in project costing.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously by maintaining organized records of estimates, bids, and related documentation.
Requirements
- Construction experience or background working on construction sites is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam for reviewing and annotating digital construction drawings.
- Strong knowledge of construction drawing review, interpreting technical drawings, and estimating material requirements from blueprints.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and managing multiple priorities efficiently.
