Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Installer for Residential HVAC systems to join our team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential settings. Duties
- Lead and supervise installation teams during residential HVAC system setup, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards
- Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately install HVAC equipment and associated mechanical systems
- Diagnose electrical issues, plumbing requirements, refrigeration components, and mechanical system problems during installation and service calls
- Coordinate with property owners and project managers to plan installation schedules and address any on-site challenges promptly
- Perform comprehensive testing of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems using tools such as ohmmeters and diagnostic equipment
- Ensure all installations comply with local codes, EPA regulations (including refrigerant handling), and safety standards
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including schematics updates, maintenance logs, and inspection reports
Skills
- Extensive construction experience with residential HVAC installations and property maintenance
- Service technician experience with troubleshooting HVAC/R systems and mechanical repairs
- Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and building automation system diagrams
- Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics, plumbing connections, refrigeration cycles, and mechanical systems repair
- Familiarity with EPA certification requirements for refrigerant handling and ammonia refrigeration systems
- Mechanical knowledge related to boilers, air conditioning units, appliances repair, welding techniques, and equipment repair
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and field service equipment effectively
- Experience with electrical diagnostics including wiring repairs and electrical system troubleshooting
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record suitable for <PERSON> driver requirements
- Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) integration with HVAC controls
- Mechanical systems repair skills across various property types including commercial or industrial environments
- Strong leadership skills to guide field service teams while maintaining safety standards
