Our team is expanding!
Are you someone who genuinely enjoys helping people, stays organized when things get busy, and has a natural ability to make people feel welcome?
We're looking for an outgoing, dependable, and organized Patient Coordinator to join our dental team.
This isn't just a "front desk" position. Our Patient Coordinator plays an important role in the entire patient experience — from the first phone call to welcoming patients into the office, coordinating appointments, helping patients understand their next steps, and making sure they leave feeling well cared for.
Dental experience is a plus, but it isn't everything. We're willing to train the right person. If you have a strong background in customer service, hospitality, healthcare, sales, or another people-focused position, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Welcome patients and make them feel comfortable from the moment they arrive
- Answer phones, texts, and patient questions in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule new and existing patients
- Check patients in and out
- Coordinate the schedule with our doctors and clinical team
- Confirm appointments and help keep the schedule productive
- Help patients schedule recommended treatment and continuing care
- Communicate treatment next steps and estimated patient portions
- Collect payments and maintain accurate patient information
- Assist patients with basic insurance and benefit questions
- Insurance Coordination/Claims
- Follow up with patients who need to schedule treatment or continuing care
- Communicate with the clinical team throughout the day
- Help identify and solve scheduling or patient-service issues before they become problems
- Provide an exceptional experience during every patient interaction
You Might Be a Great Fit If You...
- Truly enjoy talking with and helping people
- Have a friendly, positive, and professional personality
- Are dependable and take your responsibilities seriously
- Are organized and good at keeping track of details
- Can handle a busy environment without becoming overwhelmed
- Communicate confidently and professionally in person and over the phone
- Are comfortable discussing appointments, treatment, payments, and insurance with patients
- Are comfortable with computers and learning new software
- Notice what needs to be done and take initiative
- Work well with others and understand that great patient care requires teamwork
- Take pride in doing things correctly and following through
- Are willing to learn and want to become better at what you do
Dental Experience
Previous dental experience is preferred, but not required.
We believe attitude, communication skills, reliability, and the ability to connect with patients are extremely important for this position.
If you're great with people and willing to learn the dental side of the job, we're willing to teach you.
Experience in customer service, hospitality, medical offices, scheduling, banking, retail, or other client-facing positions can be an excellent background for this role.
What We're Looking For
We want patients to feel like they're being cared for by people who actually know them — not like they're simply the next name on a schedule.
We're looking for someone who will learn our patients' names, remember conversations, follow through when they need something, and help create the friendly and professional environment we want our office to be known for.
We're also looking for a team member, not simply someone to sit at the front desk. Everyone in our office contributes to keeping the day running smoothly and creating a great experience for our patients.
