Primary Objective of Position
Responsible for ensuring manufacturability in new product designs, diagnosing manufacturing issues, improving manufacturing processes in a fast paced, innovation-centric environment. This also includes, providing system analysis of customer applications and root cause analysis of product and customer system issues.
Job Responsibilities
Technical Job Functions
· Support Design Engineering and Manufacturing Teams to fulfill customers’ needs.
· Participate in new product development efforts with manufacturability design input
· Diagnose, Debug, Correct, and Document manufacturing problems as they arise.
· Improve Manufacturing processes to increase quality, efficiency, and/or throughput
· Establish Personal Time Management System.
· Display a professional demeanor and dress when representing Bel to Customers and Suppliers.
· Mentor Engineers and Technicians.
Authorities and Responsibilities
- Assume other projects and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
- Learn new technologies as required.
· Regular and predictable attendance is presumed to be an essential function of all employment.
· Work with Engineering, Production, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and Quality personnel.
· Daily independent and team decisions relating to new product programs and design projects. Has influence on design and manufacturing operations as related to manufacturability, schedule and product performance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· 10+ years of high-speed electronics design, debugging, and manufacturing
· Experience in fast-paced product development cycles
· Three to five years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment
· Must be a Lawful U.S. Permanent Resident or Citizen
The successful candidate must be proficient in a majority of the following areas:
· Schematic Capture (ORCAD) or equivalent
· High Speed PCB Layout, Organic and Ceramic Materials
· Strong Electronic Circuit Failure Analysis Capability
· Communications Circuit Design Including:
o 802.11 Ethernet up to 10GE
o Fiber Channel up to 10 x FC
o SPI. I2C, RS-232/422
· Labview, C#, or WinForms Development
· Test Equipment Experience (O-scopes, DCA, BERT, Power Supplies)
· Fiber Optics
· Hands-on Prototype Circuit Debugging
· Design Change Control Processes
· Six-Sigma/LEAN Manufacturing
· Mechanical CAD (CREO, AutoCAD)
Must be organized with the ability to follow standard practices and procedures to analyze situations or data so that answers can be obtained and appropriate action can be determined. Good interpersonal and communicative skills, both written and verbal, have the ability to interact positively with fellow employees and supervisors. Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
