The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Eaton’s Aerospace Mission Systems Division (MSD) is currently seeking a Plant Manager to join the team. This position will be based in Westminster, MD. and the person will report directly to the Plant Manger of the Orchard Park, NY location. The Westminster site employs over 65 employees and is continuing to grow. With various sizes and pressures ranging from 1,000psi to 10,000psi, Eaton-MSD’s high pressure Composite Overwrapped Pressure Vessels (COPVs) enable Warfighter success, First Responders to save lives, Rockets to launch and Satellites to provide connectivity around the globe. Operations include carbon fiber winding, sanding, painting, test, clean room/quality testing and shipping/receiving. This person will be responsible for leading strategic manufacturing execution, profit and loss, growth strategy, organizational direction, customer engagement and portfolio strategy to meet and exceed short and long-term business goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Accountable for the site's performance and execution against budgeted positions including but not limited to safety, quality, delivery, sales, profit, inventory, CAPEX, etc.
- Manage both operational leadership team and functional staff including direct leadership of Quality, Continuous Improvement, Environmental Health & Safety, Supply Chain, MFG Engineering and Maintenance with dotted line leadership of Finance, Human Resources and Design Engineering.
- Facilitate deployment and maintenance of Eaton Business System Standards at the site ensuring compliance to Leadership System requirements
- Act with analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to drive Key Performance Indicators and accountability.
- Emphasize utilization of continuous improvement Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing tools (Kaizen, VSM, 5S+) to lead cost improvement analysis and implement actionable, measurable plans.
- Act with integrity and transparency to maintain Eaton cultural standards (Servant Leadership)
- Ensure site is adhering to Management of change and communication plan standards for all major site changes (ADKAR)
- Champion a workplace focused on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) to drive a zero-incident safety culture.
- Foster a Quality culture of early detection and escalations across the site to reduce cost, drive efficiency and ensure compliance.
- Partner with Human Resources to drive talent management, learning, communication, and development strategies to ensure employee engagement through positive employee relations.
- Support site deployment of structural problem-solving tools and lead with data to proactively address operational challenges.
- Alignment of technology investments & CAPEX with product needs for current and future product developments through close coordination with: BD & Sales; key customers; and Engineering.
- Responsiveness to key customers including escalations and priority requirements.
- Driving all aspects of program and proposal performance through indirect management of the Program Management team and or the Operations function for the assigned product lines and ensuring strategic support of New Product Introduction (NPI) business cases.
- Responsible for creation of and execution against Business Plans in monthly, yearly, and long-term planning cycles.
- Leverages financial acumen to translate operational performance into actionable insights, driving productivity, cost control, and margin improvement across plant operations.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of (7) seven years of experience with progressive levels of responsibility in roles focused on Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, OPEX in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum (3) three years of direct leadership experience developing high performing teams and managing other managers

Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• Current or prior plant management experience preferred.
• Aerospace industry experience
- Prior P&L ownership demonstrating business acumen preferred.
- Front- End business and Customer Relationship Management
- Ability to understand and manage a complex portfolio of product lines from budgeting through execution.
- Lean Six Sigma and/or continuous improvement experience (Greenbelt+ preferred)
- Knowledge of EHS regulations and requirements (OSHA 1910)
- Management within an AS9100 (or similar) certified organization
- Strong, demonstrated history of successful direct and indirect management of teams and peers.
