Pharmacist - Oncology Charge Position Summary
Under the direction of TidalHealth pharmacy leadership, the Pharmacist - Oncology Charge is responsible for the daily operations of the infusion pharmacy location where they are the primary pharmacist. Independent judgment is required to implement, coordinate, and monitor the support functions established to deliver effective, and efficient patient focused pharmacy services. Assures the effective integration of operational and clinical resources throughout the infusion pharmacy in order that the pharmacy achieves the highest level of safe and effective care of patients while meeting the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic initiatives. Works with pharmacy staff, medical staff, and nursing staff as necessary to assure the delivery of safe and effective medication therapy at infusion location. The Pharmacist - Oncology Charge will serve as the pharmacist-in-charge (PIC) for the State of Delaware.
Pharmacist - Oncology Charge Position Requirements
Education
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
Required License and/or Certification
- Current pharmacist licensure in the primary state in which they will work and licensure in both Maryland and Delaware within 6 months of hire.
- Oncology Pharmacy Specialty Certification (BCOP) preferred
Experience
- 1-year acute care hospital, home infusion, or ambulatory infusion center experience within the last 7 years required
- Oncology pharmacy experience preferred
- PGY1 residency preferred
