We are seeking an Internal Medicine Veterinary Assistant who is excited to be part of a team-oriented environment, contribute to advanced patient care, and grow alongside a supportive group of technicians and specialists.

Assist with patient restraint and handling for exams and treatments

Support internal medicine treatments and procedures under technician/doctor supervision

Monitor patients for comfort and basic changes in status

Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient care environment

Assist with sample collection (blood, urine, etc.) as trained

Prepare supplies and equipment for procedures and treatments

Support IV catheter placement and treatment setup

Assist in maintaining chemotherapy safety protocols and PPE compliance

Help facilitate a positive client experience through clear, kind communication

Reinforce discharge instructions and general care guidance as directed

Support the team in maintaining a calm and compassionate environment

Assist with stocking, cleaning, and maintaining treatment areas

Help coordinate patient flow and appointment readiness

Work closely with technicians and doctors to support daily workflow

Shift Differentials
We recognize the value of overnight and weekend coverage and offer additional compensation for eligible hours worked:

Overnight Differential: +$3.00/hour for hours worked between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM

Weekend Differential: +$3.00/hour for hours worked between Friday at 8:00 PM and Monday at 6:00 AM
These differentials are separate and cumulative. Team members working eligible overnight hours during the weekend differential period may earn both differentials, providing the opportunity to earn up to an additional $6.00/hour above their base rate.
Requirements:

Prior veterinary assistant experience preferred (especially in specialty or ER)

This is a full-time role. Internal Medicine does not schedule appointments on weekends; however, we do use our specialty veterinary assistants to help care for the specialty services in patients on the weekend. So Saturday and Sunday daytime shifts are possible. The hours are 7:00am-6:00pm. We work 10 hour shifts and full time requires committing to 3-4 shifts per week.
