Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Cabinet Vision Drafter & Estimator to join our innovative design and manufacturing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating precise cabinet designs, developing accurate estimates, and ensuring seamless integration of project specifications. Duties
- Develop detailed cabinet designs using Cabinet Vision software, ensuring alignment with client specifications and project requirements.
- Create comprehensive construction detail documentation that adheres to building codes and industry standards.
- Generate accurate cost estimates by analyzing project scope, materials, labor, and system design components.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to refine schematics and ensure design feasibility.
- Utilize CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, or Rhinoceros 3D for drafting and modeling purposes.
- Conduct building code analysis to guarantee compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
- Prepare 3D CAD models and BIM (Building Information Modeling) data using tools like Grasshopper 3D or SolidWorks for visualization and system design purposes.
- Review construction drawings for accuracy, completeness, and clarity; incorporate modifications as needed.
- Assist in system design and graphic presentation to communicate concepts effectively.
- Support the integration of interior design elements with mechanical systems through detailed drafting and modeling.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Cabinet Vision software for cabinetry design and estimation processes.
- Strong proficiency in CAD programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, Rhinoceros 3D, or Grasshopper 3D.
- Knowledge of construction detail documentation and building code compliance is essential.
- Familiarity with 3D CAD modeling techniques and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
- Experience in schematic development, drafting, system design, and graphic presentation within the construction or cabinetry industry.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications accurately.
- Construction experience or background in interior or mechanical design is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting complex ideas clearly.
