Position Summary
Advanced Protective Services is seeking a dependable and professional Unarmed Security Officer for an overnight assignment at a commercial warehouse in Austell, GA. This position is responsible for screening employees entering and exiting the facility, maintaining access control, observing site activity, and helping ensure a safe and secure work environment.
This role is ideal for individuals who remain alert during overnight hours, communicate professionally, and take pride in maintaining a strong security presence.
Schedule
Monday–Friday
2200–0600 (10:00 PM–6:00 AM)

What You'll Do
- Perform bag inspections and security wand screenings in accordance with client procedures
- Verify employee and visitor authorization before granting access
- Monitor pedestrian and vehicle traffic entering and leaving the property
- Conduct scheduled patrols of the facility and surrounding exterior areas
- Identify safety hazards, policy violations, or suspicious activity
- Complete Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports before the end of each shift
- Respond appropriately to incidents and notify supervisors when necessary
- Provide professional customer service while enforcing site rules and security procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a criminal background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be dependable and punctual
Preferred Experience
- Security, military, law enforcement, or corrections experience
- Experience working overnight shifts
- Access control or warehouse security experience
- Report writing experience
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
