General Laborer Level I, Level II, Level III
Job description:
The General Laborer will perform construction work/ support specified as needed. They will perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials. He or she will assist any combination of duties on construction projects, transferring from one task to another as directed, and may perform any construction related duties. This employee will perform a variety of tasks involving dexterous use of hands and tools.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and maintaining job schedules
- Inspects and enforces job safety requirements
- Completes ‘punch lists’
- Attend construction meetings and training classes as scheduled
- Ensure job site cleanliness and assists in completion of any phase and/or task
- Assists in areas of service related issues
- Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc and give them guidance when needed
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
- General labor
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 0-5 years of ground-up construction management experience
- Prefer college degree and/or other Construction Management training
- Full comprehension of the relationships between each trade & their respective responsibilities
- Experienced with blueprints, construction documents, methods, scheduling & safety standards
- Ability to effectively manage subs and vendors
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software
- Basic computer skills
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
- High Attention to Detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to use company construction software for scheduling, and Change Orders
- Self-directed, detail oriented, proactive, decisive, and strategic in approach

- Ability to pass motor vehicle, drug screen and background check
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Based on experience. $15-$35 an hour
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
