Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and providing excellent service in our hospitality setting.
Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as needed.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the culinary team.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean and properly stored after use.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing away used dishes to maintain a tidy dining area.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to support catering events and special functions as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other staff members.
- Willingness to assist in various kitchen tasks beyond dishwashing as needed.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 30 pounds).
