Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Banquet Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and a strong background in kitchen operations, particularly within the hospitality industry. As Banquet Sous Chef you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality meals for various events, ensuring that all dishes meet our standards of excellence and are delivered on time.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items for banquets and special events, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Collaborate with the Chef & kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and timely service during events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, following food handling and safety guidelines.
- Assist in managing inventory, including ordering supplies as needed for the dietary department.
- Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative input to enhance guest experiences.
- Support team management by training new kitchen staff and helping them understand operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain high standards of food quality throughout all stages of preparation.
Experience
- Proven experience as a cook in a banquet or large-scale food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and safety regulations is essential.
- Experience in team management or leadership roles within a kitchen setting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with various cooking styles and dietary requirements will be beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are necessary for success in this role.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
