Minimum Requirements
- Must possess either a valid California Land Surveyor-in-Training (LSIT) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate.
- Must have excellent and effective oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work as a reliable team member on large projects with aggressive schedules.
- Must possess strong attention to detail and be a self-motivated team player.
An ideal Candidate will also have any or all of the following:
- A BS degree in Geomatics Engineering, Surveying Engineering, or similar degree.
- At least five (5) years of industry experience.
- Solid technical understanding of and applicable experience with the following aspects of geomatics engineering:
- geodetic control surveys;
- technical and legal principles of boundary determinations, sectionalized land subdivisions, ALTA surveys, and right-of-way surveys/engineering, including creation of legal descriptions and plats, appraisal maps, and land networks;
- public utility overhead and underground surveys;
- terrestrial LiDAR technologies; and
- aerial photogrammetric and LiDAR surveys.
- Solid technical understanding of survey accuracies and precisions, including applicable accuracy standards.
- Solid technical understanding of the uses and capabilities of modern surveying instruments.
- Proficiency with Trimble Business Center (TBC) software, AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley MicroStation software, as well as other applicable geomatics engineering and business software.
