About this role
We are looking for a Section 337 Litigation Associate with 3-6 years of experience practicing before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) to step in and immediately handle ITC investigations. This is a backfill for a busy partner who needs someone who can hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up time.
What will you be doing?
- Handling Section 337 investigations before the ITC, including all phases from filing through remedies and enforcement
- Managing ITC-specific issues such as domestic industry, remedies, enforcement, and Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure
- Working directly with the hiring partner to take over case responsibilities and reduce his current workload
- Collaborating with attorneys in the Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation (TMT) business unit
- Articulating legal strategies and managing multiple fast-paced matters simultaneously
Key Requirements
- Must have participated in at least two Section 337 ITC cases — this is a hard requirement with no flexibility
- 2-7 years of experience practicing before the U.S. International Trade Commission
- Familiarity with ITC-specific issues (domestic industry, remedies, enforcement, Rules of Practice and Procedure)
- Knowledge of IP law (technical background not required)
- Active bar license in state of residence or commitment to obtain one promptly
Pay: $215,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
