Job Summary
We are seeking an additional skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years operating Caterpillar excavators and Loaders, as well as 1+ year of Crane and boat experience. This position requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced, safety- and quality-driven environment. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the safe operation and daily maintenance of your assigned equipment, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to specifications.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including but not limited to loaders, backhoes, excavators, boats, and cranes.
- Perform daily equipment services, including checking all fluids, fueling, and greasing.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with construction teams to execute project plans effectively.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist in the setup and teardown of construction sites as needed.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
- Participate in labor tasks as necessary.
Skills
- Candidate must be able to pick up 70 lbs
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation with a focus on construction machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on equipment.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices.
- Experience operating farm machinery is a plus.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks, including tankers and roll-off trucks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Applicant must have 2 years of full-time operating experience
- Experience operating pile driving or drilling equipment is preferred
- Applicant must have experience in CAT Wheel loaders, CAT mini excavators, and Caterpillar excavators larger than 15-25 tons
- Boat experience preferred
- Crane experience preferred
- Applicant must have a valid driver's license
- Applicant must be able to pass random drug tests
- Applicant must be able to swim
- CDL Class A or B is a bonus
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $28.00 - $42.00 per hour
