Job Summary**
The Civil Helper assists skilled tradespeople and construction crews with various tasks on Primoris Energy Services projects, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
Job Responsibilities**
- Assist with the excavation and backfilling of trenches, foundations, and other earthwork.
- Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks and other vehicles.
- Prepare and clean work sites, including removing debris and setting up safety barriers.
- Operate hand and power tools under supervision, such as shovels, rakes, jackhammers, and compactors.
- Mix and pour concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials.
- Spot heavy equipment and guide operators on job sites.
- Perform general labor tasks as directed by supervisors or skilled tradespeople.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Job Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Prior experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform strenuous physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and operate various tools and equipment.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
