We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cleaning and maintenance, ensuring that our facilities are kept in pristine condition. This role involves performing various janitorial tasks in both commercial and residential settings, contributing to a clean and safe environment for all.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and stripping as needed.
- Handle industrial cleaning duties, ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Provide porter services by moving furniture or equipment as required for events or maintenance activities.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
Requirements
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and products is a plus.
- Familiarity with floor care equipment and procedures (e.g., buffers, vacuums).
- Experience in residential painting or general maintenance is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
