Job Summary
Platinum Services is looking for a Full-Time Gas Technician. WILLING TO TRAIN and VETERANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY Summary: Responsible for EFM installation, gas samples, charts, calibration of various gas measurement equipment, orifice plate changes, and witnessing of sales and/or delivery points. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Calibrates EFMs and other gas measurement equipment.
Makes plate changes when necessary.
Performs witness/proving on sales points.
Pulls gas samples.
Completes appropriate documentation and paperwork.
Ensures that gas meets the requirements and specs of the customer.
Gathers field measurement data.
Understands and develops good safety habits.
Reports all unsafe and environmental issues to supervisor.
Keeps lines of communication open to supervisor and other company employees so they can perform their jobs effectively.
Follows federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Takes care of company vehicle and equipment.
Develops a cost effective approach to doing business.
Helps out in other areas of the business as needed.
Maintains Company vehicle in good operating condition.
Continues to look for better and more efficient ways of doing things.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Practices company core values.
Keeps safety in the forefront of every task performed.
Responsibilities
High School degree or equivalent.
Follows company policies, practices, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Customer orientation.
Ability to effectively present information in a one on-one and small group situation to other employees of the company and outside contractors.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
Apply common sense understanding to carry out day-to-day operation issues.
Be able to make quick and reasonable decisions in sometimes-adverse conditions.

Regularly bends, stoops, moves from ground level to higher levels, raises/lifts from ground level a load up to 50 lbs., manually transports a load up to 75 lbs., and applies up to 150 foot pounds of torque.
Regularly gets into and out of vehicles and rides over rough roads.
Walks an average of 5 miles per day, up to 7 miles per day.
Candidates may be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing requirements,
Subject to overtime and call-outs.

Wears safety equipment as required.
