We are looking for a full time Veterinary Pharmacy Technician that will primarily focus on all Veterinary Pharmacy and inventory duties. This position also entails cross training in reception duties. This position will be supported under the direction of management; however, this is a high-responsibility independent role.
This position is open to Licensed Pharmacy Technicians, Registered Veterinary Technicians Or Veterinary Assistants with a Controlled Substance Permit.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you must be detail-oriented, excellent at multi-tasking, reliable, and a self-starter. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as an aptitude for working in a fast-paced medical environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Processing prescription requests from multiple avenues with appropriate documentation and understanding of patient medical records
- Manage our online pharmacy store and assist clients with online orders
- Prepare the appropriate medication and measure dosages to fill prescriptions
- Inventory management (Ordering, purchasing, receiving)
- Provide inventory audit reports weekly/quarterly
- Monitor and liquidate slow moving inventory
- Process returns as needed
- Provide client prescription consultations
- Communicate with vendors and drug reps
- Frequently communicate with other departments to ensure accuracy of prescriptions for same day outpatient appointments and surgical cases.
- Undertake other administrative tasks as assigned: Assist clients checking in/out for appointments, answer phone's, schedule appointments, etc.
- Comply with all security measures, laws, and quality standards
Skills:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or at least 2 years of Veterinary Experience.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician- Or active Controlled Substance Handling Permit
- Experience with veterinary medicine a plus
- Knowledge of medication and dosage measurements
- Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Able to independently work
- Reliable with a keen eye for detail
- Inventory management

Schedule subject to change:
8am - 5pm Monday through Friday
Occasional Saturday's may be required 8am-5pm.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
