Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Box Truck Owner Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. As an Owner Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver goods efficiently and reliably to various destinations. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your driving expertise, manual handling skills, and customer service abilities while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations. Duties
- Safely operate a box truck for local and regional deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices.
- Plan and execute efficient delivery routes using mobile devices or route driving tools to optimize time and fuel consumption.
- Communicate professionally with customers upon delivery, providing excellent customer service and ensuring satisfaction.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Load, secure, and unload freight with attention to weight handling in the workplace, ensuring cargo stability during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and compliance documentation in accordance with company policies.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or courier roles involving box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Strong warehouse experience including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks and manual handling techniques.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, heavy lifting, safe lifting practices, and moving procedures.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations, traffic laws, and weight handling standards in the workplace.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with professional communication during delivery interactions.
- Experience using mobile devices for route navigation, delivery updates, or documentation purposes.
THIS IS A 7 DAY CONTRACT. IT RUNS EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK. MMUST OWN IR RENT YOUR OWN BOX TRUCK.
Pay: $1,400.00 per week
