Job Summary
Whiteford Kenworth is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Outside Parts Sales Representative to develop new business, grow existing accounts, and serve as a trusted partner to customers within an assigned territory. This role is responsible for promoting and selling OEM and replacement parts for heavy-duty trucks and trailers while building strong customer relationships and delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong sales and communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to identify opportunities that drive growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while actively pursuing new business opportunities within an assigned territory
- Regularly visit customer locations to identify parts needs, provide solutions, and promote products and services
- Increase sales and market share through effective territory management and business development activities
- Prepare quotes, follow up on opportunities, and close sales to achieve established revenue goals
- Collaborate with Parts Department personnel to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource by educating customers on product features, availability, and benefits
- Monitor market conditions, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, and account information
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally while maintaining positive customer relationships
- Uphold company standards for customer service, professionalism, appearance, and business practices at customer locations, industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and work environment
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and work scheduled hours necessary to meet customer and business needs
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of outside sales, account management, or related customer-facing experience required
- Proven ability to build relationships, generate new business, and achieve sales goals
- Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities
- Proficient computer skills and experience using business software applications
- Basic mathematical aptitude for pricing, quoting, and sales calculations
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and ability to meet company insurability requirements
- Commercial truck, heavy-duty parts, transportation, fleet, or dealership experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge of PACCAR products and truck parts is preferred
Physical Requirements
- Regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and use hands and fingers to operate computers, mobile devices, vehicles, and office equipment
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time while traveling throughout an assigned sales territory
- Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 60 pounds regularly and occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds with assistance or appropriate equipment
- Ability to enter and navigate customer facilities, service shops, and warehouses, including climbing stairs when necessary
- Must possess sufficient visual acuity to read computer screens, pricing information, parts catalogs, and customer documentation
- Must possess sufficient hearing and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, coworkers, and vendors in person and by telephone
- Ability to work in office, warehouse, and outdoor environments with occasional exposure to noise, dust, dirt, grease, moving equipment, and varying weather conditions
