Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Masonry Superintendent to lead and oversee masonry construction projects from start to finish. This pivotal role involves managing on-site masonry crews, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial construction, excellent management skills, and a thorough understanding of construction management software and technical drawings. As a Masonry Superintendent, you will drive project success through effective team leadership, meticulous planning, and proactive problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise masonry crews on multiple construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to guide team activities accurately.
- Manage subcontractor contracts, procurement processes, and ensure compliance with all federal and local safety regulations including OSHA standards.
- Oversee daily site operations, conduct safety meetings, enforce construction safety management practices, and ensure adherence to OSHA and other relevant regulations.
- Monitor project progress through regular site inspections, quality control checks, and updating project schedules accordingly.
- Collaborate with project managers.
Skills
- Extensive experience in commercial construction with a focus on masonry work and supervising teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction regulations, safety protocols (OSHA), blueprint reading, technical drawing interpretation, and quality control standards.
- Maintaining high standards of safety and craftsmanship.
- Excellent communication skills for effective management of crews, subcontractors, and clients.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and supervise the review process for construction drawings.
- Proven leadership in supervising crews on-site with a focus on crew management and fostering a collaborative team environment.
