Full Time Position: Café Cook / Back-up Cashier
Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Salary: $17.25 - $18.00 plus tips
Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cook/ Back-up Cashier to join our team. Candidate will have experience in food preparation and excellent customer service, ensuring great dining experience for our guests.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items in compliance with established recipes and standards
- Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare menu for service
- Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner
- Serve food to customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas
- Additional Duties assigned by management
Requirements:
- 1+ year experience working in a kitchen or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Culinary training or certification is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Must have reliable transportation
- Flexible work schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Proficiency in using kitchen tools such as knives is helpful but not required
