Insurance Verification Specialist – Full Time
Location: Ambulatory Surgery Center
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely insurance verifications, working closely with medical documents, private insurers, auto insurers, and other healthcare providers. You will play a vital part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, while maintaining a high standard of communication and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be aware of HIPAA laws.
- Must have extensive knowledge of medical documents.
- Must have NY No-Fault insurance verification knowledge.
- Must have NJ PIP insurance verification knowledge.
- Must have Workers Compensation insurance verification knowledge.
- Must have Major Medical insurance verification knowledge.
- Must maintain good communication between other doctors’ offices and our center for scheduling and booking.
- Must be able to keep track of all cancelations and incoming patients.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 2+ YEARS OF RELATED EXPERIENCE ON NY & NJ INSURANCE VERIFICATION OF BOTH PRIVATE AND AUTO INSURANCE CLAIMS IS A MUST.
- Excellent customer service mindset and superb communication skills (written, oral and electronic).
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate skills in Excel.
- Should also know how to obtain liens/LOPs from attorney’s office.
- Must have experience as a pre-certification specialist or surgical coordinator.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
