We are seeking a passionate and dynamic High Science and Bible Teacher to inspire and educate students in grades 7-8 and/or 9-12. This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster a love for Science and God's Creation, while supporting students’ academic growth through innovative teaching methods. Bible classes offer the opportunity to disciple young people and teach them practical truths from God's Word for life application. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, expertise in life science, a knowledge of God's Word, and a commitment to nurturing a positive learning environment. Paid positions are available, with a focus on empowering students to excel academically and develop critical thinking skills. Most important, a teaching candidate at Central Christian School must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have the ability to relate to students and mentor them in their Christian walk.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons in the fields of Biology and Anatomy.
- Lead Bible study and discipleship with engaging Bible lessons.
- Use current curricula, which aligns with educational standards and complements a college preparatory track.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, quizzes, projects, and formative assessments; provide timely feedback to support growth.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a respectful and productive learning environment. Classroom structure and procedures are very important.
- Mentor students individually or in small groups as needed to reinforce understanding and boost confidence in mathematical concepts.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and school-wide initiatives to improve educational outcomes.
- As a leader of young people, model a Christ-like spirit and a lifestyle of integrity.
- Strong knowledge of high school science and Bible subject matter.
- Proficiency with learning technology platforms and digital tools used for lesson planning and classroom management.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts clearly and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Classroom management expertise combined with behavior management strategies to maintain an effective learning environment.
- Ability to prepare students for standardized testing while fostering critical thinking skills through classroom instruction and tutoring as needed.
