The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the execution of all day-to-day maintenance, equipment changeovers and support for 15-20 employees in New Bedford, MA. This is a 1st shift position with overtime as needed and they also will be on call.
Collaboration with safety team to implement and sustain our safety program to align with OSHA regulations.
The ideal candidate is certified in one or more of the following: ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, and/or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
Responsibilties:
1) Maintenance – Responsible for all day-to-day maintenance activities and equipment set-ups to ensure the plant and equipment stay at optimal operating status. Responsible for the preventative maintenance schedule and weekly preventative maintenance items.
2) Material Utilization. Responsible for ensuring that material purchased is transformed into good finish products without generating scrap or waste.
3) Personnel. Responsible for ensuring that employee practices are being followed without exception.
4) Safety. Responsible for ensuring that the plant work environment is safe and in compliance with all safety regulations. Demonstrated safety knowledge and positive safety behaviors.
5) Knowledge of reliability centered maintenance and ability to support investigations and develop mitigation plans to address findings.
