Job purpose
Fabrication, assembly, troubleshooting and repair of specialized electrical and electronic equipment per work instructions, prints and specifications. This full-time position follows a 4x10 work schedule, consisting of four 10-hour shifts per week.
Duties and responsibilities
- Utilize hand tools, meter, soldering iron, heat and glue guns to assemble, troubleshoot, test, and repair electrical/electronic equipment including PCB, motors, wiring, controls
- Maintain 100% conformance with highest quality life safety critical standards
- Assess and mitigate risks to quality, cost, and delivery
- Assure that product meets all deliverable and quality objectives
- Test and adjustment of equipment to meet or exceed required specifications
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma required, college or technology training desired
- Five (5) years’ work experience with electronic and/or electrical systems required
- Demonstrated and verifiable electrical/electronic aptitude
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving ability
- Demonstrated integrity, honesty and reliability
Working conditions
Generally working indoors on day shift M-F but may include overtime, outdoor, night and weekend work as required. Must function well and cooperate with others as part of a team. Life safety critical products. Attention to detail and quality are mandatory.
Physical requirements
Must be capable of lifting to 25 pounds. Bending, walking, and working in all positions is required. Work on concrete floors in conditioned or unconditioned environments on extended schedule when necessary. May require use of head, eye, hand, and/or respiratory protection.
