Shop Lead & Floral Designer

A beloved local florist entering an exciting new chapter under experienced local ownership. Weidig's Floral has proudly served the Chardon community for generations. Now under the ownership of the team behind Merkels Floral Studio, we're committed to honoring Weidig's longstanding reputation while investing in its future. Our goal is simple: preserve what customers love while continuing to grow and serve our community with exceptional flowers and service.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves retail floristry, enjoys serving their community, and takes pride in creating beautiful everyday and sympathy arrangements. While ownership remains actively involved in the business, we're looking for someone who can confidently lead the daily flow of the shop and help create an exceptional experience for every customer.

What You'll Do
- Create beautiful everyday, sympathy, holiday, and special occasion floral arrangements
- Help oversee the daily flow of the shop and production schedule
- Provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone
- Process orders accurately and efficiently
- Receive, process, and care for fresh floral inventory
- Merchandise and maintain an inviting retail showroom
- Coordinate with delivery drivers to ensure timely deliveries
- Assist with flower ordering and inventory management
- Support and encourage fellow team members
- Help maintain the quality and reputation Weidig's Floral has built within the community
What We're Looking For
- At least 3 years professional floral design experience REQUIRED (5 years preferred)
- Previous experience in a retail flower shop
- Strong everyday and sympathy design skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Organized, dependable, and self-motivated
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with ownership
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Weekend and holiday availability as needed
- Teleflora POS knowledge

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
