Position Summary: The Mobile Therapist, by definition, provides intensive therapeutic services to a child and family in settings other than a provider agency or office. Settings include the child’s home, in particular. Other potential settings for mobile therapist’s services include the school, the church, the community center, a neighbor’s or extended family member’s home, and other community settings. Subcontracted agreements will be developed with a pool of mental health professionals to provide mobile therapist consultation services. The nature of the agreement is outlined in a standard consultation agreement. This contract stipulates our expectation for service delivery and documentation.
Summary of Essential Functions:

Provide intensive therapeutic services to child and family

Provide child centered, family focused individual and family psychotherapy for assigned families as indicated in treatment plan

Collaboration with child, family, and other professionals to provide unified services

Design treatment plan, including crisis plan

Identification of needed family support services

Participation in treatment team meetings and CASSP meetings

Completion of all paperwork and written reports on time

Coordinate services with Case Manager

Additional responsibilities as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
Licensed mental health professional; or Master’s level mental health professional.
Minimum of one year experience in a CASSP system (employed by or under contract to Children and Youth Services, Juvenile Justice, Mental Health, Special Education, or Drug and Alcohol working with children.
